Judd Apatow said that he was trying to make a very serious movie that is twice as funny as his other movies. Under his new direction, Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann in Funny People, he surely did a great job.

Adam played the role of George Simmons, who is a very successful yet self-involved stand-up comedian. He later on realized that he has an incurable blood disorder and is given less than a year to live. The film may have a theme about death but the interesting thing about it is it still talks about life.

Though “funny people needs a shove of box-office “testosterone” as other critics say, because of the heightening ticket sales of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Nevertheless, the remarkable performance of Sandler will always make him a winner.
