Some people say it’s a wig, some compliment her for the new tint, and some just stare at Kim Kardashian’s blonde stresses in disbelief. Indeed, Kim’s blonde mane created a buzz among her fans and brushes off the speculation that her hair is only a wig. Well, it’s not and it’s the real thing.

For her makeover, Kim’s stylist Clyde Haygood brought her to Rebecca Friedman, co-owner of L.A.’s Goodform salon which includes Shia LaBoeuf Lily Allen among her celebrity clients for her process which counts up to five hours. The coloring process involves lifting her base color and adding in some highlights. Kim was reported to be “pretty brave” about the process and doesn’t engaged in too much fuss about her hair. As she’s never dyed her hair before, she was all keyed up for a transformation and ready to do something different but not that drastic.

In fact, Kim had often talked about going blonde and finally gathered enough courage to do it for real. Kim’s hair coloring is not ordinary blonde. Rebecca visualized a shade inspired by the 70’s era, colors that would work excellently with Kim’s complexion. Of course, the hue suited her well. From brunette to blonde, the process involves taking into account Kim’s eye and skin color as well.

Kim told the press that she needed some change attributed to the end of summer. She never dyed her hair before and has been working out almost daily. In fact, she looks stunning with her new colored ‘do. Right now, she just feels great so why not indulge in a change of color? Why not indeed?
