‘Meet Me At The Equinox’ New Moon Clips

Death Cab for Cutie’s already released its music video for Twilight’s “New Moon.” It was announced back in August that their “Meet Me on the Equinox” had been tapped as the first single from the “New Moon” soundtrack. Although Ben Gibbard and the rest of Death Cab just weren’t “Twilight” fans, they donned their palest for the video.

The perfect primer for the to Death Cab’s entire piece, the song reeks of the unspoken truth of love and that “everything ends”. Of course, the song borders on depressing and poignant which makes it all the more ideal as a “New Moon” soundtrack following Edward Cullen’s departure from Bella Swan.

The video depicts a murky and lackluster as Forks at midnight, an imaginative clip about love and death and substantial topics like that. There’s also tons shots of shirtless Robert Pattinson, not to mention enough “New Moon” footage to speed up the pulse of even the most waning of Twilight fans.

There’s also shots of Bella Swan submerged in deep water and zooming on her motorcycle with the able assistance of Jacob Black. The video interprets Bella and Edward’s relationship perfectly.

The clip is a morose time distortion, full of shadows that separately grow and shrink, of sunlight that fills through windows then vanishes behind corners. The core message, like Gibbard belts out, is that, while time is relative, the end result is the same: Everything ends.
