Joining Hollywood’s medical field is Orlando Bloom as he is gearing up to star in the upcoming independent drama, “The Good Doctor”. The film described as a Hitchcockian thriller would focus on the story of a frustrated doctor in dire need of a patient’s positive reinforcement. In order to get what he wants, he begins to tamper with a female patient’s treatment to make her stay at the hospital with him for longer.
Lance Daly would be directing the screenplay by scribe John Enbom with Bloom working double duty as producer. The film is scheduled to begin filming next week at Los Angeles.
Currently, the cast list is still open to other stars including Michael Pena, Troy Garity, Courtney Ford, Taraji P. Henson, Rob Morrow, and J.K. Simmons who are reportedly in negotiations to appear as co-stars. Among the 6 stars, three of them have possible roles in the film already. Pena would star as an orderly who learns of the doctor’s relationship with the patient and attempts to blackmail him. Garity meanwhile would be a successful, self-assured doctor while Ford is set to appear as a woman who has her eyes set for Bloom.
