‘Rome’ and ‘Call of Duty’ Heading to the Big Screen

Kevin McKidd may be heading off to the box-office as he reveals in a PopWrap interview how two of his beloved projects are in the process of producing big screen versions. The first project would be a feature film based on HBO’s series “Rome”.

Kevin informs PopWrap that “There is a script that is being shopped and it’s supposedly very good, I haven’t seen it, but I am definitely going to be a part of the movie”. Despite the events in the show, Kevin happily announces the appearance of his character, soldier/politician Lucius Vorenus saying, “He very much alive, so that should be a fun story to tell”.

Aside from the series, his Captain “Soap” MacTavish of the highly successful video game franchise “Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2” is also seeking to appear on the big screen.

Kevin reveals to PopWrap how he was chosen to voice the role saying, “They were looking for a rough, Scottish actor in Hollywood they probably couldn’t get Gerard Butler, so they got the No. 2 Gerard Butler, me. I had no idea it would be so huge, and now there are talks of a feature film”.

PopWrap throws in the question whether he would agree to do Soap again for the movie, he replies, “if the script is good, and Gerard isn’t available [laughs], then absolutely.”
