‘The Hobbit’ Filming Delayed

Viewers would have to wait a little longer for the arrival of “The Hobbit” with the latest delays in production at present. Reports have emerged that filming would be transferred to mid-summer of 2010, most likely July from the original scheduled date of March 2010. Moviereporter.net, a German site quotes during an interview with PJ that filming would most likely be pushed to middle of next year.

Translated from German, he says, “We’re currently working on the second script which we hope to have completed by the end of this year or beginning of next.  When the scripts are completed, we can begin with the exact calculation of the necessary budget.  We hope to start filming in the middle of next year. However, we’ve received no green light from the studio yet.”

Though production had been delayed, PJ however does not confirm if this would also mean that the release dates of December 2011 and 2012 would be changed as well.
