Fans are finally offered a chance to take home Edward and Bella, the famous couple from the vampire series “Twilight Saga”. Though both Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart can’t be taken home literally, fans are provided with the next best thing, doll replicas. You heard me right Twilight fans; Barbie has teamed up with the worldwide phenomenon as they reveal Mattel Barbie versions of leads Edward Cullen and Bella Swan. They are the main feature of the just-issued Twilight Barbie Collection.
The immortalized versions of the famous characters are highly personalized from their physical appearances even up to their memorable costumes. For the Edward Cullen doll, they had faithfully incorporated his trademark deathly pale skin even including a nice touch of shimmer. Patterned after Robert Pattinson was the doll’s shock of hair and carefully chiseled jaw line.
Bella Swan’s doll meanwhile had a more natural human-looking yet still naturally pale complexion. However the orange glow they’ve added as well as the pasted-on smile was a little off character from the typical heroine.
Costumes were copied exactly from the very memorable “Forever 17” scene in the original 2008 “Twilight”. No word yet whether a Jacob doll would also be released in the future.
The dolls were released since November 1, 2009, a good three weeks before “New Moon” hits screens. Both of them are on sale at Walmart stores, Walmart.com and Barbiecollectior.com which retails for $24.95 each. So hurry, grab your dolls now and let the “Twilight” fever live forever!

Wait, so they released a doll of Robert Pattinson and then another one of Robert Pattinson with long hair?
