Team Jacob finally has reasons to rejoice as they too get a chance to immortalize their favourite werewolf in the comforts of their own home.
Following the earlier released dolls of Edward and Bella, the Jacob Black Barbie doll completes the famous love triangle of the “Twilight Saga”. Speculations from the beginning were right as toymakers emphasized on the selling points of the actor behind the heartthrob werewolf, Taylor Lautner.
The image of the Jacob Black Barbie doll perfectly captures Lautner’s finely-chiseled “New Moon” abs and unthreateningly stunning face. Clad in a simple cut-off jean short, sneakers, and socks, fans are offered a full view of the shape-shifter’s tough body. Toymakers surely took into consideration important minute details such as avoiding to incorporate a full outfit. In the upcoming “New Moon” film, a complete outfit from head-to-toe was a hindrance during transformations. Toymakers made sure to take note of that during the creation process.
However despite incorporating his trademark wolf pack tribe tattoo, they failed to address one important feature of the actor: his russet Native American skin colour.
Team Jacob fans would have to wait though for the spotlight would be kept on the Edward and Bella dolls for quite a time as Jacob’s doll would appear on shelves later on February 2010, in time for the DVD release of “New Moon”.
