It’s raining down films for “The Twilight Saga” young star Taylor Lautner as he is reportedly in talks to star in the remake of the 1985 film “Vision Quest”. In te original film, Matthew Modine starred as a driven jock wrestler together with Linda Fiorentino, an older, artsy type threatening to distract him. Many would mostly remember it though for the young Madonna’s cameo as a lounge singer belting out the hit 80’s song “Crazy for You”.
Speculations suggest that Lautner is in talks to star in the lead role previously portrayed by Modine. No word have emerged yet on who is enticed to play his older love interest or whether the remake would welcome a Madonna comeback.
This film is an addition to the currently piling up line-up of films for Lautner. Just last week, reports officially confirm that the certified award-winning martial artist was cast in the lead role of the action thriller “Cancun”. Here he plays a college student attempting to save his kidnapped girlfriend from Mexican drug cartels. Earlier he’s also been heard to be in talks for the titular role in the film adaptation of the CGI cartoon based movie “Max Steel”.
After his striking appearance in “New Moon”, Lautner would next be seen in the upcoming ensemble comedy “Valentine’s Day” together with his rumored real-life love, Taylor Swift, hitting theaters on February 12, 2010.
